Thrill Holidays Munnar

Our family of 4 had a great stay here for 3 nights last August. The location is fantastic. We had the nice family room in the attic. The hotel is very clean, great breakfasts and dinners served in the restaurant in the hotel. Staffs at the front desk was very helpful with suggesting places to see in and around and giving directions. The whole medieval town is almost surreal in beauty, cleanliness and atmosphere. Great place to stay to discover Munnar and surroundings.

I want to give this homestay consisting of only 3-4 rooms, 2-3 staffs and city far location only zero marks at the cost what they charging 4k for signle day stay. When we reported them to their deficiency they are more than good to explain and write slogans. They lacks following points 1. No hot water available in their so called installed bathtub sinks. It always empty. I had complained but no action during my two days stay at room no. 22. Infact when we open the hotwater tab it gives hotwater for 6 seconds & then cold water. 2. Food quality poor, you have to inform reception before 5 pm for food menu otherwise you will have to stay empty stomach as no nearby hotel and restaurant or you cannot walk through the other hotel. You have to eat what they prepared in bad taste. 3. It is very far from main city or transit for sight seeing very far. Road connecting to thrill homestay is 4 km - 5 km away from main road and 15-20 km from madupetty dam, enrivukulum national park. All spots of sight seeing far where we have plan before 6pm because of dangerous route connecting road. 4. They will not listen customer voice ,they are very good explaing giving excuses and owner not available in homestay. 5. Bathroom consist of spiders and insects where children forbidden & afraid to use. 6. They dont give toiletries & coffee tea daily infact making excuses to keep all these things in almirah and Almirah is locked that is why we could not do it. Almirah to keep clothes, not tea & cofee. 7. No fridge , poor room service, poor food quality, far from sight seeing, makes this homestay "nothing thrills here " 8. Please don't waste your hard earn money to book thrill holiday at munnar , infact go for other economical hotels at munaar town. 9. Now you will see owner response shortly explaining and slognated each and every points where you can see his arrogance & agrregrator behaviour which motivates all of us not to book Thrill holiday at munnar. I booked Tea Plantation Mountain View of this hotel way in advance and had great expectations looking at their photos and reviews. All my expectation went down the drain when I reached the property only to realise the tea plantation view rooms were given to some other guest. The reception person tried to put us in a room with no view and seemed very casual about it. On questioning he tried to act dumb and avoid giving right responses. I immediately cancelled my booking and that was the best decision. I realised I was paying Rs. 5600 per night which is very high compared to neighbouring hotels with better view, staff and services and half the price. Don’t get fooled by the tea plantation photos. It’s a common plantation open for all nearby hotels. Hence save your money and still enjoy taking pictures here. Pathetic experience and will not recommend. Do not book online else you may waste your time money and energy just like us. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

We had booked a mountain view room online, however the booking was not honored and upon reaching the property, we were offered a room with literally no view, instead there was some housekeeping cabin in front of balcony and entrance as can be seen in the attached video. When questioned about the allocation process, the reception guy was acting amateur and was not able to take ownership of the mistake. His every other answer was concluded by "manager is on holiday, he is managing on the phone remotely and this and that". I found staff very irresponsible and novice. Tip - please explore nearby options such as Monsoon Grande offering more amazing view at half the price. Do not fall for the tea plantation photographs, it is not their private plantation. It is open and have unrestricted access.
